Classics:

Pride and Prejudice

by Jane Austen

My favourite of Austen's. Romance and historical. Two lovers who aren't fond of each other at first.

Jane Eyre

by Charlotte Bronte

Historical with a mix of mystery and romance. I really enjoyed Jane's character.

Young Adult:

Harry Potter Series

by J.K. Rowling

Sigh. An all-time-favourite. Magic, mischief, and an amazingly rich world.

Eon, Eona, The Dark Days Club

by Alison Goodman

Fantastic duology featuring a heroine who disguises herself as a boy. There's some romance, dragons, and so much more!

The second book is more New Adult.

Seven Realms books

by Cinda Williams Chima

A great series that reminds me a little of Harry Potter but for older teens. Rich plot, great characters, and a romance that kind of reminds me of Aladdin.

A Court of Thorns and Roses Series

by Sarah J. Maas

A Beauty and the Beast retelling featuring faeries. The first book was good, the second book awesome, and the third book was good. Action. Sexual Tension. Complex heroine. Rhysand. Need I say more?

An Ember in the Ashes

by Sabaa Tahir

An action packed story with romance. Unique world. Definitely going to read the rest of the series.

Adult:

Uprooted

by Naomi Novik

Another love of mine. Magic, slow burn romance (reminds me a little of Beauty and the Beast, and has some sexy moments), and packed full with action.

The Fever Series or the Highlander books

by Karen Marie Moning

My favourite series. It's sexy, dark, and features a complex heroines. And let's not forget her cast of men.

The Kingkiller Chronicles

by Patrick Rothfuss
I love this series. A mixture of Harry Potter but geared more for adults, and features the present time. There's also romance. You'll fall in love with the hero, Kvothe.

Vicious & Vengeful

by V. E. Schwab

I love reading about these villains.

Hollows Series

by Kim Harrison

Packed with action, mystery, supernatural fun, and romance. The romance is a slow burn, and also delves into a love triangle of sorts with a female vampire.

The Black Jewels Trilogy

by Anne Bishop

This series is dark, but fun. It features romance, action, and a complex heroine and hero. Oh, and Satan... but he's not the guy you think he is.

Study Series

by Maria V. Snyder

A great series with action, slow burn romance, and a complex heroine.

Agent of Hel Trilogy or Kushiel's Dart Trilogy

by Jacqueline Carey

Two great series filled with action, a unique world, a slow burn romance, and a complex heroine.
