About the Author

Jamie McLachlan grew up writing poetry and songs, but it wasn't until her twenties that she ventured into fiction. As an avid fantasy and romance reader, Jamie aspires to combine the two genres in a gripping tale that will leave readers captivated and a little breathless, often weaving a little mystery and horror elements. Through her work, Jamie delves deep into shadow work, and hopes to heal those willing to walk in the shadows alongside her.

Her first novel, Mind of the Phoenix, ranked bestseller in Dark Fantasy. Drawing back on her roots, Jamie published her debut poetry collection, Night Song, which explores themes of darkness, acceptance, and transformation. In addition, her poetry has been featured in MAW magazine and published in an anthology titled Fireflies & Fairy Dust. Jamie also writes short stories such as "The Eyes of the Heart," which can be found in the collection Déjà You: Stories of Second Chances. Her current novel, Prince of Lies, is on submission with her agent Cathie Hedrick-Armstrong. In the meantime, Jamie is working on her next dark romantic story.

When not writing, Jamie can be found either lifting weights at the gym or enjoying the comforts of her home in Canada with her husband and three sons. In her spare time, she devours books, daydreams of her next story to music, visits the local crystal and antique shops, takes care of her garden and houseplants, and reads tarot for herself, friends, and family.
